We've worked in both the non-profit and for-profit world, building award-winning publications and other media products that are responsive, contemporary, engaging, and on point. 

Meet our team:

President Angela Hickman is a 30-year veteran of the publishing industry. She's a born editor and researcher who enjoys slicing and dicing data to find clues to associations' biggest challenges. Angela launched the company in 2014, after a 17-year stint serving in senior roles with Stratton Publishing & Marketing (now Stratton Media Strategies), where she managed nearly a dozen different association publications and countless research and consulting projects. She manages consulting and research projects for Stratton through Hickman Brady Media.

Prior to joining Stratton, Angela worked for American City Business Journals on the Washington Business Journal and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Earlier, she served as Editor of the Business Journal of Tri-Cities, TN-VA. She is a past board member of Association Media & Publishing and former editorial advisor to ASAE’s Associations Now magazine. She is the coauthor, with Debra Stratton, of the the chapter on association publishing for the third edition of ASAE's Handbook of Professional Practices in Association Management (2015).

Art Director  Janelle Welch is an award-winning graphic artist who has more than two decades of experience managing the creative process and developing print and electronic design projects, including custom media, magazines, e-publications, and websites for association clients. Janelle's designs have been honored by Association Media & Publishing, the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), FOLIO: magazine, and others.  

Copyeditor Erin Murphy is a long-time marketing and communications professional with a keen eye for rogue typos.
